2026-09-22Version 2.0 rewrite. New architecture: a ranking page with a direct answer, six question-led sections, per-agency profiles, six guides, a glossary, an evidence ledger, author pages, an editorial policy, and this changelog. The Editorial Team byline was replaced with the real author. Six criteria replaced the July six, moving weight from Adobe tier and certification counts, which no readable page supports, to published cases, hyva.io tiers, Clutch's platform split, and written terms. Corrected on a fresh source: scandiweb's Canadian base (its Canada page now says Montreal on Eastern Time; no page read lists a Burnaby office), the Hyvä license (hyva.io now states the theme is free and open source), Kinex Media's Hyvä Silver tier (now on hyva.io's finder), Kinex Media's city (Mississauga), MageMontreal's city (Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts), Bellwood's headquarters and name (Atlanta; Bellwood), and Kodershop's Magento focus (withdrawn; its site shows Odoo and ERP work). Removed for lack of a source: all Canadian-dollar cost bands, hourly bands, license, hosting, and retainer ranges, the 15 to 25 percent rule, and timelines on the pricing guide; Lighthouse score ranges, the Hyvä creator and year, and the Luma file counts on the Hyvä guide; Samsung and Jaguar Land Rover as scandiweb clients; the Adobe tier ladder description; the claim that the GTA is Canada's largest consumer market; and the Interac statement on the Montreal guide. Reviewed before publication on 23 September 2026 against every ledger URL: the Burnaby office attributed to Clutch was removed because Clutch lists only New York and Riga; magemontreal.com loaded on the review date, so its Adobe Solution Partner Silver badge and bilingual team were added and the unreadable-site wording withdrawn; Kodershop's Clutch minimum was corrected to undisclosed; scandiweb's Clutch Magento share of 70% was added to the tables; the Wainbee case was corrected to name Magento rather than Adobe Commerce; scandiweb's Toronto page statement that most work is scoped as a fixed-price project was added; Bronze was added to the Hyvä tiers; and names, figures, and a tagline not found on their linked pages were removed. A second review pass on 23 September 2026 corrected Bellwood's most common Clutch project size to under $50,000, moved MageMontreal's street address to its Clutch source, removed the MageMontreal team names and Google rating that its DesignRush profile no longer shows, removed a Shopify B2B comparison that had no ledger row, removed HubSpot from OptiWeb Marketing's tools, added Shopify at 5% to Kodershop's Clutch split, and corrected the count of agencies with Magento at 70% on Clutch from two to three.
2026-07-23Version 1 published under the name Commerce Agency Review, with an Editorial Team byline: one ranking page naming scandiweb first and five smaller Canadian agencies, a four-row evidence ledger, and six companion pages on choosing an agency, pricing, Hyvä, Magento versus Shopify, Toronto, and Montreal.
